Introduction to the TOUGH Software
Participants check the basic control and navigation elements of the TOUGH training environment and select suitable inputs using a mouse and keyboard or mouse-only controls. They move purposefully through the 3D world, pick up objects, place them, operate the inventory and answer surveys. They decide which interaction is required in each situation and immediately recognise how their inputs affect the virtual environment. This gives them a solid understanding of the software’s structure, functional logic and presentation so they can complete further TOUGH training courses independently and confidently.

Course Description
The TOUGH Tutorial teaches the basic operation of the TOUGH training environment.
In the interactive environment, participants move independently through the virtual 3D world, pick up objects, place them and use them appropriately for the situation. They operate the inventory, answer surveys and apply the software’s functional logic directly. This provides your company with a reliable foundation for efficient and independent completion of further TOUGH training courses.

Employees who complete digital TOUGH training courses in the virtual 3D environment and need to become familiar with the controls, navigation and interactions before starting further learning units.
Course Content
Participants control their movement using a mouse and keyboard or mouse-only controls and select the appropriate inputs for purposeful navigation.
Participants orient themselves in the 3D world, move independently through the virtual environment and use the central navigation elements.
Participants pick up objects, place them in the intended positions and use them appropriately within the training environment.
Participants operate the inventory, select available objects and use the software functions in the intended sequence.
Participants answer surveys and apply the control and interaction steps they have practised safely in further TOUGH training courses.

TOUGH goes beyond traditional e-learning: Digital, realistic
simulations recreate construction sites, railway stations or roads
in a practical way. Employees train safe decision-making in a
“serious gaming” format – increasing training effectiveness,
motivation and demonstrably improving learning outcomes. As a
subsidiary of HOCHTIEF, TOUGH also brings genuine industry expertise
to the content.
First, you determine how many licenses are required. The purchased
licenses can then be easily assigned in the TOUGH Dashboard via email
address or CSV import. Participants complete the training based on
real work situations in interactive simulations and practical
scenarios. At the end, a final test assesses the learning outcome.
Participation, results and certificates are automatically recorded
and centrally documented. This means that all records are available
at any time in a clear format for audits and internal documentation.
The costs depend on the number of participants and the selected
package. Each license gives you access to the entire TOUGH Training
portfolio. The digital training format can significantly reduce time
and costs, especially for larger teams.
Yes. Training courses can be centrally managed and assigned to
multiple employees at the same time. Each participant requires their
own device. Progress, results and certificates can be viewed clearly
in the Dashboard at any time.
The test can be repeated. The aim is to ensure that all participants
fully understand the content and can apply it correctly.
The certificate is automatically generated digitally after
successful completion and is available immediately.
Yes. The content can be accessed again at any time and used as a
refresher.
Yes. The training can be interrupted at any time. Progress is saved
for completed or fully processed modules. Modules that have been
started but not yet completed are not saved and must be completed
again from the beginning once the training has been closed.
